That’s what we aim to change with the DailyAchiever Review board.
The DailyAchiever Review board is our core team of qualified and skilled professionals who vigorously screen the products that we analyze and may or may not recommend to you. It encompasses nutritionists, personal trainers, coaches, dieticians, physical therapists, chiropractors, cardiologists, oncologists, and more.
Our onus is to provide you with well-research, science-backed content that allows you to make informed decisions about health and wellness products. Any product we review has been used by us or we find out a customer who has used the product and then we ask them to share their journey. Then our experts analyze the authenticity, fact check it and only then make it available on dailyachiever.com Read our review process.

1. Alisha Sherman (Founder Of DailyAchiever)
For Alisha, fitness didn’t happen by choice. For a large part of her life, she was what everybody else referred to as ‘scrawny’. But when she was refused a place in the soccer team for being too small, she took it seriously. She spent the next four years studying how exercise and nutrition and can help one lead healthier, fulfilling, and active lives.
After completing her B.S from Touro College School of Health Sciences, she plunged headfirst into the fitness industry while continuing to pursue further qualifications, such as Exercise Physiology.
She works as a health consultant for Fortune 500 companies while continuing to offer remote personal training services to a selected clientele around the world. When she’s not too busy transforming lives, she loves to scuba and jump off cliffs.
2. Curtis Anderson
Curtis is a certified strength and conditioning coach, and former Head coach football for Bowie State University, Maryland. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science Kinesiology, he worked for a while as a physical therapy assistant. He went on to become a certified strength and conditioning coach. He primarily focuses on performance enhancement, fatigue management, rehabilitation programs, and risk reduction, while understanding the distinct physiological demands of sports.
He trains athletes for a living and helps develop customized training processes while using monitoring tools to minutely analyze progress and improve physical conditioning. This allows his clients to perform at their peak while reducing injury and improving the rate of recovery.
He boasts of an impressive social media following that spans continents. Even on these platforms, you’ll find him talking about educational resources that can improve the quality of life for everybody. That includes the average joe clicking away on a computer all day. At DailyAchiever, he helps us look at the terabytes of information that we receive, from an athlete’s perspective while using his in-depth knowledge to help us weed out potential pitfalls.
3. Dr. Dortha Varney
Dr. Varney is a former associate professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a fellow of both American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). She completed her Ph.D. in Nutrition from the Pennsylvania State University and later, completed a Level 3 certification in Adult Weight Management from East Carolina University. She has a keen interest in sports nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. Although she finds limited time for research, she focusses on exercise and its effect on energy metabolism, the correlation of Vitamin D with bone health in aging athletes and nutrition, and its applications in preventive and restorative health care.
Dr. Varney is a contributing writer & editor at DailyAchiever and is a highly lauded member of the health and fitness community. She’s currently in the process of accumulating all that she has learned and applied in the realm of sports and nutrition and penning it down in a book that promises to be a game-changer for fitness professionals. Until then, here she is helping you lead healthier lives.
4. Joanne Cochran
Joanne Cochran is a Board Certified Clinical Nutritionist and Pharmacist who’s popular in fitness circles in Massachusetts as the ‘biohacker’. That’s because she helps her clients, who include athletes, celebrities, and high-functioning ninja moms, fix nutritional imbalances and find a permanent solution to their weight loss woes. ‘No more Yo-Yo dieting that permanently damages the metabolism’, that’s her motto.
Joanne has a 98% success rate as a nutritionist and she focusses primarily on using whole foods to help athletes level up and optimize themselves for peak performance while addressing gut problems or metabolic disorders. She specializes in macronutrient management, as well as the application of nutrition in everyday life.
At the same time, she has years of experience working with specialized diets such as Keto, Paleo, Vegan, dairy & gluten-free, GAPS (Gut and psychology), FODMAPS, low histamine & AIP. It’s her clinical expertise working with health supplements, which she believes can play a key role in optimizing the quality of life, that brings her to DailyAchiever. She’s the go-to expert in our team for everything dietary and fat loss related. Oh, she emphasized that we mention that she’s a mother to two beautiful girls and a Siamese cat called ‘Macro’.
5. Dr. Melvin Waller
Melvin Waller is an award-winning internist and endocrinologist with great proficiency in endocrinology, general medicine, and metabolism. He completed his undergraduate degree from Cornell before completing his MD from the University of Maryland. Waller is considered to be amongst the best in his field having won distinctions and accolades galore, during his illustrious career. Some of them include the Mary Jane Kugel Award for Diabetes Research and the David Rumbough Scientific Award.
He has collaborated with some of the most renowned professionals in health and wellness and has authored over 25 chapters in medical books devoted to Diabetes and endocrinology. His peer reviewed publications are published in some of the best international journals like the Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Diabetes.
Dr. Waller is an avid skier and hiker. He loves spending his days in the outdoors with his family and is currently learning the ropes of fly fishing.
It’s an absolute honor to have him on our panel of experts and he brings in an unparalleled understanding of how diet and lifestyle habits influence our affinity towards diabetes and metabolic disorders.
6. Dr. Kayleen Moore
Dr. Kayleen Moore is a Certified Chiropractor and Sports Physician who focuses on recovery and rehabilitation for a diverse clientele. She completed her Bachelor’s in Biology from Bethany College, WV, and did her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Logan College in MO.
Kayleen’s focus remains on helping her clients eliminate or minimize pain and lead an optimal, active lifestyle for as long as they can. She relies on specialized tools as well as exercise, to help improve posture and correct spinal problems, as it affects our good health to a large extent. Dr. Moore is nationally board certified in physiotherapy and acupuncture as well. She also holds a Fellowship to the Acupuncture Society of America.
In addition to this, she is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(R). Dr. Moore spent two years working in a group practice and another couple of years in a private clinic during her internships which gave her vast expertise in rehabilitation, sports fitness, nutrition, sports injuries, and geriatrics.
A lot of the products that we review involve exercises or have a fitness-related side to them, which requires the expertise of a chiropractor, in addition to a certified fitness instructor. We just cannot dole out impractical advice, even though some brands deem it perfectly okay to do just that. Dr. Moore helps us spot the flaws, even in the most ardently packaged product.
7. Valarie Robinson
After her first Vinyasa Yoga class in college, Valarie knew that this was her calling. But life had other plans. She packed a backpack and went on a world tour that took her to some of the most breathtaking spots in the world, right from the ruins of Machu Pichu to the rainforests of the Amazon. It was here that she learned the ropes of meditation, under a shaman. After returning to the states in 2011, Valarie decided to follow her calling.
She first completed a 230-hour Yoga Study from the Yoga Center of Minneapolis and began to practice every day until she gained mastery over both vigorous as well as fluid Vinyasa moves. She further honed her skills with another 300-hour course with Cyndi Lee.
She continues to hone her skills while exploring the wide world of Yoga with Ashtanga, Katonah, and Restorative Yoga.
